Bridgnorth Holiday Cottages : Self Catering Accommodation
Two Bridgnorth holiday cottages that are the perfect self catering holiday let for visitors to enjoy the historic market town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire and surrounding areas.
Pine Tree Lodge is a tastefully converted out building which now houses 2 semi-detached 1 bedroom Bridgnorth holiday cottages, No 1 & No 2. The Lodge is located down a single track lane in a very quiet semi rural village adjacent to horse paddocks. But it is less than a mile walk from the centre of the Bridgnorth and only 1/2 mile from The Severn Valley Railway. Both cottages have parking for two cars and their own private patio areas. A complimentary bottle of wine plus a bottle of milk, tea and coffee always await our guests to kick start their holiday.
The cottages are perfect for couples wanting to get away from it all. No 1 also has a sofa bed to accommodate a third person. Or reserve both cottages for the extended family or friends to come along too.
Dogs are also welcome (£5 per dog per night) and as well as the town walks, there are some nice country walks from the door. One of which passes Britains largest working water wheel at Daniels Mill only a quarter of a mile away, set in a wood beneath one of the Severn Valley Railway’s viaducts then follows the River Severn in to town (approx 1 mile).
Pine Tree Lodge 1
Pine Tree Lodge is a self contained holiday cottage with a hallway, a fully fitted kitchen & dining area, and has a living room with sofa bed all on the ground floor. On the 1st floor there is a landing area with a dressing table, a bathroom with a large bath with a shower over and a large double bedroom with ample clothes storage.
Pine Tree Lodge 3
No.3 is a self-contained holiday cottage with open plan living, dining and kitchen space as well as a double bedroom and newly fitted shower room spread over a single storey.
Approached via private electric gates there is ample parking for multiple vehicles.
Pine Tree Lodge 2
No 2 is a 1 Bedroom holiday cottage with private parking right outside the gate. It has an open plan Lounge kitchen and diner on the ground floor that leads out through a solid oak stable door to a terrace which is a sun trap for most of the day. There is a contemporary shower room at the bottom of the stairs off a small lobby area and the bed room which looks out over the horse paddock on the 1st floor. The Bedroom has a double bed and a small single pull out bed.
Bridgnorth : A Historic Market Town
Bridgnorth has many character pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and coffee shops and recently won ‘The Best Small Market Town Award’ in a National competition. Plus it is an annual contender for ‘The Britain in Bloom Awards’. The town is split into high town and low town by the River Severn Valley. The 2 are linked by a vernacular railway built back in 1892 from which you can get beautiful views of the Severn Valley. High town is perched on top a sandstone cliff and was once fortified. The Castle was captured by the Royalists in 1646 and much of it was destroyed, but part of it still stands in ruin set in the castle gardens.
We are located within 20 miles of numerous other historic towns such as Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton, plus the world famous Ironbridge which is just a 20 minute drive away. So there is plenty to keep you occupied for longer holidays.
